We can
install content management systems which allow you to easily make simple changes to your
site yourself—such as price changes—without disturbing existing formatting. An example of such
software is Macromedia's Contribute.
Our
designs work with all HTML- and XHTML-compliant browsers, not just Internet Explorer. (While
Microsoft might like the world to think that no one uses web browsers other than IE, it just isn't
so.)
All
code is validated and complies with the HTML 4.01 and XHTML 1.0 specifications.

New to the Internet? If you wish we can also handle all the
details of virtual Web hosting for you—registering a domain name (www.your_name.com) and
getting your site up and running quickly, leaving you to concentrate on what you know best—your
business!
Making a Wise Choice
The most important elements in selecting someone to design
and/or maintain a site for you are technical competence, a good eye for visual design,
responsiveness, and dependability.
Competence: Is the designer thoroughly versed in current technical standards for
web design, and knowledgeable about new, evolving standards?
We are. All code is written in such a way as to keep your site 'upgradeable' in
the future as changes evolve. For example, wherever possible, formatting is done using XHTML
(extensible HTML) and customized cascading style sheets (CSS) rather than the older (and now
semi-obsolete) HTML tags. This is the approved method for all future specs currently on the horizon.
Keeping the code on your web pages as portable as possible means future transitions will be
simpler, faster and less expensive as standards inevitably change.
A Good Eye: Simply put, does the designer's work look pleasing to you, as well as
tasteful? Or do sample designs look tasteless, plain, or uninspired? Is site navigation easy or difficult? If
you intend to sell your product(s) online, is it easy for the customer to order? Do designs help draw your eye
to the text, or do they detract from it?
You are the judge here. Remember that all the technical knowledge in the
world can't replace a good eye for layout and color, so always check out samples before making a
decision.

Responsiveness: Does the designer answer questions to your satisfaction? Is he or
she readily available? Does the designer explain things in a way you can understand?
We answer questions in plain English, not technobabble. (Unless, of course, you
prefer technobabble. :-) We place a premium on being responsive to a customer's
questions or concerns. And we go the extra mile to assure that a site is designed to your tastes,
not ours. We'll work with you throughout the process to see that you're another pleased
customer!
Dependability: Is work completed in a timely manner? If you find a bad link on
your site on a weekend, can you count on prompt help?
We're available seven days a week, year round. We're workaholics, so jobs are
completed by or before deadlines. And we recognize that 'broken code' or 'link rot' on your site
reflects poorly on you, so we give top priority to running down and fixing any problems
immediately.
Our specialty is clean design which loads quickly
and emphasizes content over glitz and flash. Good content will bring you repeat traffic. Pointless,
slow-loading animations won't.
You may think a colorful Flash animation is cute as can be when you first see it. But how is
it going to wear on the customer the fifth or sixth time s/he visits your site? The idea, after all, is to
attract repeat business!
