June 13 - Under an expanded NFL program, the Raiders and their AFC West counterparts (and the NFC South teams, as well) each had an NFL Europe impact player assigned to their practice squad for the remainder of the 2005 season. Oakland received Finnish DT Michael Quarshie, who played for Frankfurt during the just-concluded NFLEL season. Quarshie has also played for Columbia University the past two seasons.

June 9 - The Contra Costa Times reported that the Raiders tendered their two restricted free agents—SS Marques Anderson and ILB Tim Johnson—by the June 1 deadline. The Raiders chose not to tender their three remaining UFAs: RBs Tyrone Wheatley and Amos Zereoue and SS David Terrell.
May 27 - NFL.com reported that the Raiders recently gave WR Ronald Curry a two-year, $2.3 million extension that included a $200,000 signing bonus and enough incentives to bring the value of the deal to $3 million. The Raiders have an option for a third year on the deal worth $6.5 million that includes a $5 million roster bonus.
May 18 - Signed three undrafted rookie free agents: WR Maurice Washington (Texas A&M-Kingsville), C Vince Carter (Oklahoma), and punter Gary Cook (UNLV). Waived TE Ralph Plumb.
